i recently purchased a kit and when i charge either thru usb or the wall charger the wall charger light stays red and the light on the usb goes red then green for about 10 seconds then red again even after charging all night. is this normal or did i get the only defective charger in the store? lol

I cant say I've ever heard of that happening. Though the light is acting weird, is the battery still charging? Do me a favor and PM me your email that you placed the order with and I will talk with Jim about this issue.

Mine does that too, regardless of whether I use it in a USB port or in the wall adapter... screw in a battery, battery LED flashes several times to let me know it is charging and the light on the charger turns red.. after it is charged, light turns green, but flashes red every so often, for a few secs.. then back to red.. never really timed it, but if I had to guess I'd say its maybe like 45 sec green - 3-5 sec red - 45 sec green....... unscrew the charged battery, back to SOLID green..

I just assumed that was how it worked..like it shuts off every so often to keep it at a steady full instead of overcharging. Seems to charge the batteries fine. Who knows. If this is some sort of an issue, someone let me know.

Thanks

battery doesnt really seem to be fully charged.luckily ive got a spare and can rotate them. the lights on my charger seem to be spending more time red than green. and the usb plug in connection to the wall charger seems to be shallow and loose. ive ordered another kit so i can compare and just waiting for it to arrive

Sorry, that sucks. I didnt realize it was that severe.
I will tell you this though, If you are not entirely happy with any product you get from efox, all it takes is one phone call (321-298-4998) to Jim and he will get you back to happy.. at least this has been my experience.
and I have had a few "or did i get the only defective _______ in the store" moments myself.
Hope you get it worked out.

And as for the USB to wall connector being "shallow and loose"... It has been my experience that this is "normal" for these... for whatever reason.
I have two, and they are both like that.

I cant speak for everyone, but I am always happy to answer questions from newbies.
As I am sure you've figured out by now, but you will get as many different answers to e-cig questions as there are vapers. This is because EVERYTHING is relative to the individual style of the vaper.... how often you vape, how well you maintain your PV's components, what kind of e-liquid you are using, etc.... So I can only answer based on my experience. Your batteries performance will change over time.. for a new battery 4 hours is good.. IF you are vaping quite a bit (and you are usually vaping quite a bit more than you might think when you first start out---because it still has its novelty). As your battery goes through many Charge-Drain cycles, you will find a point where you are vaping and go.."WTF!?!?! I JUST CHARGED THIS THING!!" .. when that happens a few times in a row pitch it (recycle it or save it for parts)
In regards to the atomizer, if you manage to clean it without killing it (I have never killed one by cleaning it, but I know many who have) you can keep it going for quite a while. I have one that I am on 2+ months with. The paint is chipped and coming off, but it works like a charm.

Thanks CavillDesign, you are extremely helpful and we definitely appreciate the help we can get lol. As far as what you posted, you are 100% right as usual. Something you might want to try though montanawildroses is adding more juice so you don't have to vape as hard to be satisfied. This in turn will extend your battery life. Be careful though, you can flood the filter which is never a good thing. Also, did you charge the batteries for a full eight hours before use?

That initial charge should be more that enough lol. On average, when loading a brand new empty filter, you want to start with 12 to 15 drops. Do so slowly as to not overfill. When you start noticing a lose in flavor you should refill with between 3 and 5 drops depending on how strong a flavor you want. Also you can try direct dripping on the atomizer its self to get a strong hit. This is also a great way to make atomizers last longer so their not running dry. Also glad to see your off the analog stuff Smile

great points alexgsp. Just to add a few pointers I have picked up along the way.....
a wet atty is a happy atty, but a swimming atty will drown. pay attention to what your atty is doing/sounding like and you will be well on your way at knowing what it needs for optimal vapor. If you drip anything on the atty, or fill your carts very full, listen to make sure your atty isnt making a gurgling sound.. if it is then you have too much. These 510 batts run at 3.7V and do not have the power to burn off excess juice like that --- you have just flooded your atty, and will more than likely see some juice coming out from around the battery/atty connector.
on the other end of the spectrum--if you hear a sizzling sound when you take a drag, your atty is way too dry.. add some juice...or...
perhaps there is pleanty of juice in your cart and it just hasnt wicked as fast as you are vaping.. this is a judgement call. if you are confident that your cart has ample juice in it, give it a quick thermometer shake, or tap the LED end against your palm a few times to jostle the fluid toward the atty wick. wait a sec and try again. NO filler material or mod I have tried has ever wicked the e-liquid as well as I'd like or as fast as I'd like, but the thermo shake or pack tap seems to work wonders for stubborn fluid.
Finally, the way you hit an ecig is an acquired technique.. dont vape like you smoke--short stabbing hits will produce little vapor and no throat hit. slow, steady, controlled hits over a few seconds will leave you breathless. give it a try!
hope this helps you out.

My charger does the same thing. The light will be red then about 30 min later it will turn green for a min. then back to red. It will turn green to red the rest of the time on the charger. I thought it wasn't charged. I kept it on the charger for 7 hrs. It was still doing the same.

For everyone having trouble with their chargers, are your chargers still powering the batteries? I just want to make sure that it's just the LED's not the chargers themselves

my friends that are using the non corded usb plug are reporting that the lights are acting like they should and holding steady color . the corded charger that wouldnt stay showing charge is actually fully functional as far as i can tell. i do recommend the non corded usb if the changing lite bothers you as it did me
